Young Adults

Hello! My name is Erin Bird and I want to welcome you to our completely outdated Young Adult page! Why do I say it is outdated? Well, because God has been changing things around here so quickly that I'm sure this page will be even more outdated after you finish reading it.

But just because God is doing some awesome stuff with this group doesn't mean you can't get involved! Let me answer your questions before you jump in:

Am I a "young adult?"

I don't know (see, I told you I would answer your questions). Only you can decide that. Around here, a young adult is anyone out of  high school (so usually around age 18) up through who-knows-what age. Basically, if you are 28 and act like you're approaching retirement, you probably won't fit in with the young adult group. But even if you are 35 and love hanging out with us, then you are probably still a "young adult."

You might be in college, you might be a never-married career adult, you might be newly married, or you might even have pre-school children. We don't care what "status" you are in life, we just want the chance to get to know you and watch God work in your life.

Do you have any information I can read that IS up-to-date?

ABF's (Adult Bible Fellowship):

Re:Focus  ABF  - 11:00 AM in Room 128
This community is for young adults who are parents of little ones. Currently studying a variety of topics helpful to young parents.

Marriage Matters ABF - 6:30 PM in Room 128.
This community is for newly married and growing families in their 20’s and 30’s.  

Homebuilders - 9:20 AM in Room 143
This community is for young families (married or single), many with preschool to elementary age children. Average attendance is 25-30..

Social Events
Birdnest Christmas Open House
Young Adults of New Covenant Bible Church are cordially invited to our Open House on Friday, December 5. Come anytime between Six o'clock and midnight to the home of Erin and LeAnn Bird, 7005 Kent Dr. NE. (Call 373-3991 if you get lost!) Please bring yourself, your family, and/or a friend. No RSVP, gift, or food needed.

Ongoing Events:
College Bible Study
Join us Sundays for a new Bible study just for college students! We'll meet in Room 021 at 6:30 PM. Questions? Contact Erin at 395-0021.

Most social events occur through ABF's, although we occasionally have social events that mix the young adult ABF's, and sometimes even do church-wide social events.

Conferences, retreats, etc. are held throughout the year. Watch the Supplemental Bulletin or the Church Calendar for upcoming events like these.
