Wednesday Night Ministries
Let's SOAR!
6:30-7:45 PM
SOAR is character-focused training which educates children how God desires them
to live their lives. SOAR stands for Seek, Obey and Release, meaning we are to seek after the Lord,
obey Him and serve Him.
SOAR is divided into four age categories:
Flyers -
Ages 3 through Kindergarten
Wings - Grades 1 and 2
Eagles - Grades 3 and 4
Special Forces - Grade 5
Flyers
Boys and girls separated into three age groups. A typical night at SOAR includes
a Bible lesson, projects, role play, snacks and games.
Wings, Eagles, and Special Forces
Boys and girls, grades 1-5, separated by gender and grade. A typical night at
SOAR includes a Bible lesson, projects, role play, snacks and games.
Basic Training Program
No, Basic Training isn't push-ups and jumping jacks! Children in Flyers, Wings,
and Eagles are part of Basic Training. In fact, Basic Training is getting back
to basics and teaching children how to apply 24 character traits of Jesus to
their lives (eight per year)
Are there drill sergeants?
No, we don't have drill sergeants, just Flight Instructors (adults leaders) who
want to get to know kids and help kids build relationships with one another.
Is there a cost to participate?
We keep our Wednesday Night Ministries free so every child has an
opportunity to grow in Christ and their relationship with Him.
Special Forces
Special Forces is for 5th graders who want to grow in their faith. Not only do
students study Christ's character, but students assist in events such as
All-Amaze, Family Night, camp outs, and the annual Shape and Race (pine wood
derby-type race).
Ministry Training Academy (MTA)
Children must apply to be a part of the MTA program.
What is MTA?
